The Next Big Gospel Stage Play: "Tell God I'm Looking for Him"

"Tell God" tells the truth, local playwright Delsi Welch intends to show that God doesn't kid around when he wants your attention.

/Performing Arts PR News/ - December 20, 2006 - Ironically, the protagonist of the play "Tell God I'm Looking for Him" is an atheist who tells Jesus to go away - literally. Disturbed by the deaths of several loved ones and the immorality of the world around him, Leroy shoos away the Savior and declares himself a nonbeliever, despite his family of praise-shouting, old-school Christians. Yes, the play explores the dark side of human frailty, but Tell God employs joyous gospel music, praise dancing and the occasional spoken-word poem to show the full circle of a man's redemption.

Delsi Welch is the founder of A Delsi Welch Production in 2005. Ms Welch is a former student of The American Academy of Dramatic Arts West and a graduate of University of Houston. Her work will inspire you, make you laugh, and cry all in one night. Most of all, it will take you away from your everyday stresses and life's clusters. And you know that we need a break sometime.
