President Of Largest Dance Organization In Australia Waltzes To The Tune Of Excellence

As President of the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing, Leslie has consistently displayed the drive and determination required to be among the best.
Newman's 44 years of experience is a major asset to the group. Leslie represents Australia internationally as a delegate to The World Dance and Dancesport Council.
The Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing originally began as the National Examination System and Victorian Society of Dancing in 1931 and 1933 respectively. The two later combined to form the CSOTD, which is now a world leader catering to all major forms of dance.
The CSOTD is the largest Dance Organization in Australia. They are an internationally respected authoritative managing body who conduct examinations in all major dance disciplines throughout Australia and the Asian Pacific Region. The areas they work with include Classical Ballet, Theatrical Dance, Tap Dance, Jazz Ballet, Modern Jazz, Australian New Vogue and English Old Time.
Leslie received a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Wisconsin.
Newman is a Member of the Order of Australia since 1996 as well as being in the Automobile Club of Victoria and is a Fellow of the Australia Marketing Institute.
