Stanford Who's Who Sings The Praises Of Extraordinary Entrepreneur

Stanford Who's Who welcomes Christie Grace to the ranks of leading professionals due to her extraordinary work in the Arts.

BOWEN ISLAND, BC, CANADA, June 6, 2010 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Christie Grace to the ranks of leading professionals due to her extraordinary work in the Arts. As Owner, Manager and Jeweler of Christie Grace Studio: Silver, Gold and Songsmith, Christie has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision and dedication necessary to be among the best.

Christie is an exceptionally talented individual who has earned her reputation as an entrepreneurial goldsmith, jewelry designer, vocalist and songwriter with over 25 years of experience in the music and jewelry fields.

For over ten years, Christie's one of a kind jewelry creations have been showcased in her elegant Artisan Square studio. Serving both a local and International market, her "destination" studio's success evolved from a decade of featuring her work in fine galleries throughout Canada, Seattle and California. During this timeframe she also traveled throughout British Columbia, Washington and Alberta attending the finest craft/art shows, including nine successful years at the West Coast's most prestigious Circle Craft Christmas Show at the Pan Pacific in Vancouver.

In her musical career Christie has self produced 2 CD's of original recordings encompassing the Pop, Latin and Jazz genres. Her debut CD received high acclaim from critics, and her ongoing live performances have earned her a faithful and ardent fan base. Her soothing, "velvet" vocals woven with sensuous jazz grooves, edged with a touch of Dusty Springfield and Paula Cole delight her audience. Christie has begun a 3rd CD with her pianist and engineer Chris Gestrin, to be released in 2011. Christie sings with some of Vancouver's finest jazz musicians and has studied with equally prominent jazz vocalists Nancy King, Kate Hammet -Vaughan and Jennifer Scott.

Christie graduated with honors from the Gemological Institute of America in Los Angeles and apprenticed with European Master Goldmith, Alois Riethmann. She has attended The Revere Academy in San Francisco, The Taos Institute of Arts in New Mexico and The New York Institute of Arts. A lifelong learner, she currently mentors with Vancouver Goldsmiths, Andrea Roberts and award winning jeweler Mary-Ann Buis of Costen Catbalue.

Christie is a member of the GIA Alumni Association, Canadian Federation of Independent Business, Bowen Island Arts Council, Bowen Island Chamber of Commerce, The Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada, Music BC Association, The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, WWF, The Nicaragua Children's Foundation and The David Suzuki Foundation. In the time away from her busy schedule, she enjoys traveling, gourmet vegetarian cooking, baking, reading, cinema, walking her animals, pilates, holistic healing and metaphysics.
