Brighid Fleming Recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Film Production
Ms. Fleming has already acted in 40 productions at the tender age of 12
BURBANK, CA, January 19, 2012 /Performing Arts PR News/ -- Brighid Fleming, Director, Writer, and Actor for Phish Tank Philms, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in film production.
Though Ms. Fleming is only 12-years-old, she is currently directing her first short film. She started her acting career at the age of 3, and has since had leading and supporting roles in more than 40 film, television, and theater productions. Today, Ms. Fleming is a director, writer, and actor for Phish Tank Philms, an independent film company. Her current focus is a short film project entitled "A.B.S." Being behind the camera has always been of interest to Ms. Fleming because she considers it to be a good learning experience. She is inspired by the amount of creativity that goes into the entire production process.
Ms. Fleming has been nominated for several awards, including best actress for her portrayal of Maggie at the Tulsa International Film Festival and best actress for a guest starring role at the Young Artists Awards. She also won a best supporting actress award at the International New Haven Film Festival for her role in "Sugar Rush," and is a recipient of a Maverick Award for best actress, Ms. Fleming attributes her success to her commitment to the creative process and storytelling, as well as her ability to understand what actors go through.
As she approaches her teenage years, Ms. Fleming hopes to direct films of a variety of genres and expand the scope of her work. She also looks forward to learning a great deal from the business. When not working, Ms. Fleming enjoys skateboarding, horseback riding, writing and surfing. She also recently adopted a pit bull named Boo and hopes to educate people about this misunderstood breed in the years to come.
